Casey Dewar, LPC (he/him)
Adulting is hard! There are so many demands of us…..trying to balance work, home life, and personal well-being can be miserable. It is easy to be filled with worries that we aren't doing enough and that we are failing the people we care most about. We might try countless ways to fill the hole in our hearts that make us feel less than, or unworthy. When we start to connect with and understand ourselves, that’s when we can finally learn to embrace who we truly are.
I studied Outdoor Recreation Administration at Central Michigan University and graduated in 2009. Experiences in working outdoors lead me to working in mental health in 2012. I went back to school to receive a Counseling degree from Lenoir-Rhyne University in 2017. I have worked in inpatient and outpatient settings since becoming a counselor. My experience and training in Motivational Interviewing, Branspotting, and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy inform my work with clients.
